NCSP DG, Tegbe in Spain for Global Cybersecurity Roundtable

Joseph Tegbe, the Director-General of the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership (NCSP) on Tuesday participated in the Global Regulator Roundtable on cybersecurity held in Barcelona, Spain.

Tegbe attended the event at the invitation of Huawei Technologies, coinciding with the activities of the 2025 Mobile World Congress (MWC).

In his presentation, Tegbe emphasized the importance of balancing innovation with the risks associated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) in today’s rapidly evolving landscape. He advocated for the promotion of innovation while emphasizing the need for flexible and adaptable regulations and policies.

The conference also provided the NCSP team with valuable insights into the diverse solutions and capabilities offered by Huawei Technologies, a global leader in the information and communications technology (ICT) value chain, within the context of the evolving digital economy.

The Mobile World Congress (MWC) is an annual event that serves as a premier convergence of technology, people, and ideas, shaping the blueprint for future industries and societies.

Tegbe Visits China Chamber of Commerce, Vows to Attract More Chinese Investments to Nigeria

Meanwhile,  Joseph Tegbe,  Director-General of the NCSP, has vowed to attract more Chinese investments in key sectors such as agriculture, alternative energy, solid mineral development, and healthcare into Nigeria.

He made the pledge during a recent visit to the China General Chamber of Commerce in Abuja on Friday.

Tegbe expressed willingness to work closely with the Chamber to ensure ease of doing business for Chinese enterprises within the extant laws of Nigeria.

He called on the Chinese Business Community to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s and President Xi Jinping’s efforts to foster a mutually beneficial bilateral relationship between both countries.

According to him, Nigeria is willing to leverage the comprehensive strategic plan between Nigeria and China to transition from a trade relationship to a developmental partnership where China catalyzes industrialization in Nigeria.
