CCECC to strengthen existing partnership between China-Africa

Abuja, December 2, 2024- The China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) has pledged commitment to strengthen collaboration between China and Africa through infrastructural projects.

The Corporation stated this during an interview with Africa China News at the 3rd China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE) Exhibition in Africa (Nigeria) which brought together more than 100 companies from Hunan Province in China.

According to Ms Issah Fatimah Abiola the first Nigeria female train driver and staff of CCECC the company has been a significant player in Nigeria’s infrastructure since 1981, being the largest construction company in Nigeria and West Africa.

She added that they have a global reach with business in over 110 countries and regions.

“This exhibition has provided a platform for us to explore ways to further strengthen the partnership and collaboration between China, Nigeria and Africa at large.

“We aim to build on the existing strong relationship and the shared goals of sustainable development.

She also highlighted projects in Nigeria including the Kaduna-Abuja railway, Abuja rail, Lagos railway, and the Lekki free zone.

The ongoing exhibition in Abuja is seen as an opportunity to enhance collaboration between China and Nigeria, building on the existing strong relationship and the shared goals of sustainable development.

ACN reports CCECC was established in 1979 under the approval of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China and was incorporated into China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) in 2003 for strategic regrouping under the approval of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.

As one of the pioneering Chinese companies entering the international market, CCECC is now developed into a large-scale state-owned enterprise with Chinese National Super Grade Qualification for railway project engineering, and has been listed among the world’s top 225 International contractors for many years in a row.

CCECC has established resident offices or project management headquarters in 89 countries and regions by the end of 2016, spreading across Asia, Europe, Africa, America and Oceania with its business covering project contracting, civil engineering design & consultancy, industrial park construction, development and operation, real estate development and property management, investment, railway operation, industrial mining, import & export, hotel management and travel services etc.
