In a courtesy visit on November 19, at the Embassy of Ivory Coast Abuja, Mr Zheng Xiaopeng, Chairman and CEO of African China News (ACN), met with Mr. Agni Fabrice Edouard, First Secretary to the Ambassador of Ivory Coast.
This significant encounter marked a crucial step towards fostering cultural understanding and economic exchanges between Ivory Coast and China.
Mr. Zheng Xiaopeng, while speaking at the meeting, introduced ACN to the Ambassador, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of African countries and the potential of ACN’s social media platform in promoting African values, dialects, and culture to a broader audience, including the Chinese community in China.
He emphasized ACN’s commitment to connecting with Ivory Coast culture, promoting agriculture, trade, and investment between Ivory Coast and China.
“ACN aims to showcase the unique cultural values, dances, foods, and identities of Africa and Ivory Coast, bridging the communication gap between China and Africa by translating news into Chinese and various African languages. This initiative will enhance mutual understanding, partnership, and investment among Ivory Coast, China and Africa”, he stated and continued.
“The ACN team will cover significant events in Ivory Coast, such as National Independence Day, and showcase them to the Chinese and other African countries”, he said.
Mr. Agni Fabrice Edouard in his response, expressed gratitude towards ACN and hailed Mr. Zheng Xiaopeng’s efforts in promoting African culture, promising to relay ACN’s visit to the Ambassador of Ivory Coast to Nigeria, upon his return.
This visit underscores the importance of cultural exchange and economic collaborations in today’s globalized world. Deservedly, ACN is bridging the gap between Africa and China, promoting mutual understanding, respect and global peace.
