Burundi reaffirms commitment to strengthening Africa-China relations

In a significant display of diplomatic goodwill, Mr. Zheng Xiaopeng, CEO and Publisher, of Africa-China News (ACN), Abuja, paid a courtesy visit to Ambassador Edouard Nduwimana, the Ambassador of the Republic of Burundi to Nigeria, on Friday, October 18, at the Burundian embassy, Abuja.

The meeting was a demonstration to the growing friendship, partnership and cooperation between Africa and China. During this meeting, Ambassador Nduwimana reaffirmed Burundi’s commitment to enhancing Africa-China relations, promoting trade, strengthening cultural exchange programs, tourism, economic development and shared goals.

The Ambassador noted that the Republic of Burundi is desirous and ready to work closely with China on numerous initiatives that cut across culture, tourism and economic development.  

”I am optimistic about a plethora of future strategic co-operations, ventures and programs. Burundi is endowed with a rich cultural heritage and tourism is one of the significant areas we intend to foster with the People’s Republic of China”, the Ambassador said.

Meanwhile, Mr. Zheng Xiaopeng, stated that, ”this visit highlights the importance of fostering strong relationships between nations and I am excited to see the positive impact that this will have on both Africa and China”.

”The future of Africa-China relations looks bright and I am eager to see the progress and prosperity that will be made in the near future”, he concluded.
