China-Tunisia Civilization Exchange Forum Holds in Tunis

The China-Tunisia Civilization Exchange Forum convened in Tunis, bringing together 150 experts and scholars from China and Tunisia in the fields of culture, publishing, and academia.

Held alongside the 39th Tunis International Book Fair, the forum underscored the pivotal role of cultural exchange in strengthening ties between the two nations.

Mohamed Salah Kadri, director of the Tunis International Book Fair, emphasized culture as a key driver of the China-Tunisia partnership.

He expressed Tunisia’s eagerness to deepen collaboration in areas such as film, drama, plastic arts, intellectual property, and copyright, signaling a vibrant future for bilateral cultural initiatives.

Huang Zhijian, chairman of China Publishing Group, highlighted the significance of mutual dialogue and learning between civilizations.

“China values exchanges between different countries and civilizations,” he stated, reinforcing the forum’s role in fostering meaningful cross-cultural connections.

Discussions at the forum covered critical topics, including “Chinese modernization and South-South cooperation” and “China-Tunisia cultural exchanges and publishing cooperation.”

Scholars and experts explored pathways to enhance cultural and intellectual collaboration, laying the groundwork for future partnerships.

The event reflects a growing commitment to cultural diplomacy, with both nations poised to expand their shared cultural and intellectual endeavors.
