China celebrates the 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival as families gather to honour a tradition centred on unity, reunion and harmony.
The festival, also known as the Moon Festival, falls on the 15th day of the eighth month of the Chinese lunar calendar. The full moon remains one of its central symbols.
Families across China mark the occasion with meals, moon-gazing and the sharing of mooncakes.
ACCBCF National Chairman Congratulates Chinese People
The National Chairman of the Africa China Chairmen of Business Council Forum (ACCBCF) and Publisher of Africa China News, High Chief Mikel Yousuf Ugwu (Zheng Xiaopeng), congratulates the Chinese people on the celebration.
High Chief Mikel Yousuf extended his greetings to the Chinese government, business community and people.
He described the festival as an important expression of Chinese culture. He also linked its message of unity and friendship to the growing relationship between Africa and China.

He pointed to growing cooperation between Nigeria and China in several sectors. These include trade, investment, infrastructure, energy, technology and industrial development.
The ACCBCF Chairman also reaffirmed the forum’s commitment to connecting African and Chinese businesses.
He said stronger partnerships can create opportunities for trade, investment and industrial growth across both regions.
